Welcome to our project. What you will find here has come from the fusion of traditional Oaxacan earth-based building designs and our desire to build and live in respectful relationship with the natural world.  We are currently building a home and will build (in the second phase) a casa de huéspedes in San Agustinillo, Oaxaca, Mexico.  Our design and construction are focused on: community, sustainability, and maintaining a positive environmental impact.  We have also adopted the guiding principals from the book Building Green which are: low construction impact, resource efficiency through the life of a building, long lasting, non-toxic, and beautiful.  We will use cob and bahareque construction systems, and our design includes a dry bathroom, rainwater collection system, plant-based grey water filtration system, solar panels, and a living roof.
